Roberta Burnes is an Environmental Scientist Advisor in the Director's Office of the Kentucky Division for Air Quality (DAQ), housed in the Energy and Environment Cabinet (EEC). She runs the division’s environmental education and outreach program, engaging students and adults about air quality and its importance for healthy communities . Burnes serves as DAQ’s public information specialist and website administrator. Burnes is a skilled science communicator, copy editor, and digital accessibility activist. Burnes co-facilitates KAEE's JEDI Community of Practice and has served on KAEE's board. She is a certified Kentucky Master Environmental Educator, Green Community Leader, and Kentucky Colonel.
