
Louisville Nature Center’s mission is to be a catalyst for conservation through environmental education and connection to nature for every person. LNC manages more than 80 acres of forested land in the heart of Louisville, including Beargrass Creek State Nature Preserve.

Job Description
Be a current college student or recent graduate
Per federal requirements, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
Attended a high school where 80% or more of students receive free/reduced lunch, or
Live in a disadvantaged community (as identified by the Climate and Economic Justice Screening Tool).
Interest in forestry-related careers
Able to lift up to 25 lbs, work in all types of weather, and use basic tools such as loppers and shovels
Have your own transportation
Availability: Mid-May through August, Tuesdays through Fridays, 9 am to 12 pm

How to Apply
Listen and be willing to take yourself out of your comfort zone to learn new skills
Show up each day scheduled on time and ready to work
Assist in forestry projects, including invasive species management, habitat improvement, and trail maintenance
Complete and submit paperwork in a timely manner
