KAEE’s Outdoor Education Reception at the Capitol
Early Childhood
RESOURCES
Curriculum & Training
KAEE hosts multiple national curriculum programs that offer learning resources specifically for early childhood environmental education.
Upcoming workshops will be listed in the section below. If none are currently available, take a look at the KAEE Calendar to see all upcoming events.
RESEARCH
Research Library
In addition to the Resource Hub offered by the Children & Nature network, they also offer an extensive Research Library. With its curated collection of research, you'll find more than enough evidence for why environmental, outdoor, and nature-based education is essential for early childhood-aged learners.
ACTION
The Environmental Education Kentucky Coalition for Early Childhood
The eeKCEC is a group of individuals who are committed to advocating for environmental, outdoor, and nature-based education to be integrated into early childhood programs and centers across the Commonwealth. By joining the coalition, you are showing your support for the educators and children. You will receive emails regarding advocacy efforts, updates on early childhood-focused events, and opportunities to take an active role in supporting the field of early childhood education.
Early Childhood Action Team
KAEE's Strategic Plan includes a key strategy around early childhood education: Support early childhood schools and centers in implementing additional outdoor time and environmental education experiences. To take action toward this strategy, KAEE formed its Early Childhood Action Team. This team meets virtually on a bi-monthly basis.
