With its curated collection of research, you'll find more than enough evidence for why environmental, outdoor, and nature-based education is essential for early childhood-aged learners.

ACTION

The Environmental Education Kentucky Coalition for Early Childhood

The eeKCEC is a group of individuals who are committed to advocating for environmental, outdoor, and nature-based education to be integrated into early childhood programs and centers across the Commonwealth. By joining the coalition, you are showing your support for the educators and children. You will receive emails regarding advocacy efforts, updates on early childhood-focused events, and opportunities to take an active role in supporting the field of early childhood education.

Early Childhood Action Team

KAEE's Strategic Plan includes a key strategy around early childhood education: Support early childhood schools and centers in implementing additional outdoor time and environmental education experiences. To take action toward this strategy, KAEE formed its Early Childhood Action Team. This team meets virtually on a bi-monthly basis.
