Columbine is a native perennial that grows 1–3 feet tall and features unique red and yellow flowers with long spurs. It blooms in spring to early summer and prefers dry to medium soils in part shade. It’s an especially important early-season nectar source for hummingbirds when few other flowers are blooming.
