Great Blue Lobelia is a 2–3 ft tall native perennial with bright blue, two-lipped tubular flowers that bloom in dense clusters. It grows best in medium to wet soils in full sun or part shade and is native across most of the Eastern U.S. (except Florida).

This plant thrives in wet meadows, ditches, stream edges, and low woods and is ideal for native plant gardens, borders, pond edges, wildflower meadows, and butterfly and hummingbird gardens.
