OBJECTIVES:

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Explain the concept of a Green School.

  • Outline the history of the Green Schools movement.

  • Describe the benefits of Green Schools.

  • Explain the concept of a Green Team and its relationship to Green Schools.

  • Propose the composition of a potential Green Team.

  • Describe ways to recruit, retain, and achieve the goals of a Green Team.

  • Explain the concept and benefits of Youth-Adult Partnerships.

  • Discuss the Kentucky Green Schools program and its different components.

  • Summarize the benefits and avenues for including community partners in Green Schools programs.
