Green Community Leader eeCREDENTIAL
Based on the Community Engagement Guidelines for Excellence from the North American Association for Environmental Education, this eeCREDENTIAL consists of a series of online courses designed to equip participants with the skills needed to collaborate with their community in addressing local environmental issues. Through each course, you will explore a new array of settings, partnerships, and opportunities to take your work more fully into communities. The goal of this eeCREDENTIAL is to strengthen relationships and create more genuine collaboration in communities.
In this cohort, participants will join a group of state employees working together to increase their knowledge and skills for working with the communities they serve.
Throughout each of the specialized courses, participants develop a comprehensive Community Environmental Education Project Action Plan addressing an environmental issue focusing on community well-being and identifying potential collaborators that can be used as a model for engaging communities beyond the program. Upon earning this eeCredential, participants will have a well-rounded plan, ensuring initiatives are effective, community-driven, and contribute to healthier communities. This eeCredential is vital for collaborating with communities to address environmental issues and fully integrate their work into community settings.
