About the Event

Accessibility in Digital Spaces Part 2

In Part 1, Roberta Burnes provided a brief overview of the latest updates to the Americans with Disabilities Act, which require state and municipal agencies to make their documents and websites accessible. We learned from Carol Weber and Samanthia Farthing, who demonstrated the use of a screen reader to access websites and documents -- and more importantly, showed us what it's like when a website or document is made in the wrong way and is inaccessible. If you missed it, catch up here!

In Part 2, we’ll move from awareness to action. Together, we’ll explore practical next steps for improving your digital documents and making meaningful progress toward compliance and inclusion. We’re excited to welcome back Carol Weber and Samanthia Farthing from the Kentucky Assistive Technology Services Network (KATS Network) as they help guide this next phase of the conversation.
