About the Event
Join us for training in the Leopold Education Project (LEP) curriculum program and resources. LEP is an innovative, interdisciplinary conservation and environmental education curriculum based on the essays in A Sand County Almanac by Aldo Leopold.
The objectives of the LEP are:
-to create an ecologically literate citizenry
-to expand participants' experience of “reading the landscape”
-to expand educators’ skills in teaching outdoor education
-to expose students to environmental literature and related activities
-to share Aldo Leopold’s land ethic, his legacy and his writings with educators and students -to help people develop a personal land ethic

You can expect an engaging, hands-on workshop, equipping you to use the LEP curriculum in your setting. Participants who complete the training will receive a copy of the LEP educator guide, exploration cards, and a copy of A Sand County Almanac by Aldo Leopold.
Participants will need to pack their own lunch. Coffee and refreshments (and treats) will be provided throughout the day.
