Harold R. Benson Research & Demonstration Farm
1525 Mills Ln, Frankfort, KY 40601
This two-day event will bring together professionals, researchers, land managers, and students to share some of the latest projects in habitat restoration and natural areas management. Highlights will include implementation-based projects, case studies, and expert talks. And we will also be joined by our Keynote speakers from Southeastern Grasslands Institute (SGI).
Please see the final agenda. There will be 5 CEU's available at the Habitat Symposium this year: 2 CEUs for Category 1a (Agricultural Plant) and 3 CEUs for Category 2 (Forestry).
We know our federal workers have just recently returned to the office and getting registered for conferences at this time might be tricky. We’re committed to making participation possible whenever we can, so please reach out to kasia.bradley@kysu.edu if you would like to attend. We do have supported registrations available and we want to ensure everyone who is interested can be part of the event.
We're excited to share that our committee will soon be awarding two $2,500 Habitat Symposium Scholarships this fall to students pursuing careers in natural resources. We can’t wait to recognize the recipients at this year’s symposium. We're also adding some fun new elements to the program—most notably, an evening networking social, where attendees will have an opportunity to connect with others in the field, share ideas, collaborate, and eat some good food!
If you have any questions or need more information, don’t hesitate to reach out to Kasia at Kasia.Bradley@kysu.edu or Anna Claire at Anna.Rogers@kysu.edu.
