Climate Science and Communication

This course is designed to teach the basics of climate science and introduce educators to climate change communication strategies, and features activities from Project WET’s Climate, Water, and Resilience Educator Module.

What are the Impacts of Climate Change?

How are Humans Responding to Climate Change?


Module 5

What are Best Practices in Climate Change Communication?

OBJECTIVES:

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Describe how Earth’s climate system works.

  • Explain the factors that influence climate change.

  • Discuss the impacts of climate change.

  • Explain how climate change affects vulnerable populations.

  • Analyze personal and community responses to the changing climate.

  • Create a personal reflection on your learning and its impacts on your understanding of climate change.
